Each year, the New York State Department of Health requires EmblemHealth Enhanced Care (Medicaid Managed Care) and Enhanced Care Plus (HARP) participating providers and their staff who have regular and substantial contact with our members to complete cultural competency training.
To satisfy this training requirement, providers and their staff must complete the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services re-learning program, The Guide to Providing Effective Communication and Language Assistance Services, and submit the applicable certification for an Individual or Group by December 31, 2025.
Completing the Attestation
If you are an individual provider, click Individual Attestation. If you are attesting on behalf of a group, you must submit a separate attestation for each group/organization and include a valid Tax Identification Number (TIN) to ensure all providers under the group receive credit for completing the training.
